2012 Winter Hitting League

5th Annual Cangelosi Baseball Winter Hitting League

It is no secret that Bo Jackson's Elite Sports Dome was developed to give athletes in the Midwest a place to train year round. With the fall season wrapping up, John Cangelosi and our staff of instructors strive to help hitters develop and understand their hitting approach. Winter ball is the perfect time to develop, understand, and perfect that hitting identity.

Determination and drive play a huge role in our Winter Hitting League. When most people think of baseball, they think of summertime and green grass. November and December in South Chicagoland does not exactly fit that description. That's why we are here.

Focusing on situational hitting, players who take part in our Winter Hitting League also receive speed & agility training, in-cage hitting, and (best of all) on-field competition.
"The great thing about winter ball is that it gives kids a chance to develop situational hitting which is often neglected at most levels" Tyler Thompson, who helps design and instruct all of the camps, said.

With the first session being dedicated to Bo Jackson's Elite Sports Leadership Centers of America programming, we are quite focused on training our players "inside and out." The camp is open to ages 8-18 and runs from October 30-December 20. The cost for the 8 week league is $395 per player.

While it may be frigid outside, Bo Jackson's Elite Sports Dome has warm air and an energetic atmosphere. Most people may not think of winter as "baseball season", but the ones who do, will surely benefit in the long run.
